1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information between pages — for example that you are signed in, or which language you chose.
2. How you control your choices
On your first visit we show a banner with four cookie categories. Only the strictly necessary ones are active by default; the rest are enabled only if you tick them.
You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings button shown permanently in the bottom-left corner of the page. When you withdraw consent for a category, the cookies in that category are deleted automatically.
You can also delete cookies directly from your browser. Note that deleting the strictly necessary ones will sign you out.
3. The categories we use
3.1. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work. They cannot be disabled and do not require your consent, because without them the platform cannot be used.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
bontrip_session
|
BonTrip | Keeps your session on the site: sign-in, your actions and messages between pages. | For the session |
cmbf_consent
|
BonTrip | Remembers what you chose in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every visit. | 1 year |
bontrip_member_remember
|
BonTrip | Keeps you signed in as a member after you close the browser, if you ticked "remember me". | 30 days |
bontrip_provider_remember
|
BonTrip | Keeps you signed in as an organiser after you close the browser, if you ticked "remember me". | 30 days |
3.2. Preference cookies
They remember choices that personalise your experience without being essential. The site remains fully usable without them.
3.3. Statistics and recommendation cookies
They help us understand how the site is used and remember which activities you viewed, so we can suggest similar experiences. If you have a member account, this data may be linked to your account.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |

Data collected through Google Analytics may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Details in our Privacy Policy.
3.4. Marketing cookies
These are used to show you relevant adverts, on our site and on other sites. They are placed by our advertising partners, who act as independent controllers.
We currently use no cookies in this category.
4. External services that do not use cookies but receive your IP address
Some visual components load from external servers. Even though they do not set cookies, those servers receive your IP address in order to deliver the file:
- Google Fonts — the typefaces;
- Cloudflare cdnjs — the icon library;
- unpkg — the maps library;
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — the maps on activity pages and address lookup.
5. What happens if you refuse
You can refuse any category except the strictly necessary one. The site stays fully functional: you can browse, search activities, send requests, create an account and write reviews.
The only things you lose are personalised recommendations and adverts matched to your interests — generic adverts may still be shown.
6. Changes
We update this page whenever we add or remove a service that uses cookies. The last update date is shown at the top.
